What is it about?

The Asia Pacific Accessible Art Festival (APAAF) 2019 is co-hosted by Caritas Macau and University of Saint Joseph, and co-organized by 18 overseas NGOs from 14 countries and territories in Asia and Pacific Region.

The Asia Pacific Accessible Art Festival (APAAF) 2019 is co-hosted by Caritas Macau and University of Saint Joseph, and co-organized by 18 overseas NGOs from 14 countries and territories in Asia and Pacific Region, including Australia, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Zhuhai, Guangzhou, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. There are also 20 local rehabilitation and disability partnering organizations to participate in this event and serve as the supporting units. Macau Foundation is the sponsoring body of the 2019 APAAF. 

Festival Objective:

To provide an exchange platform for artists with different abilities in the Asian and Pacific region to showcase their talents and potentials as well as to promote social inclusion. 

Programs:

Exhibition

Over 150 pieces of art works in different forms to be displayed including cultural paintings, patchwork, rice paintings, community music, hand-made pieces, artwork, and more. 

Workshops

Various workshops in drama and movement, cultural and contemporary dances, cultural artwork led by the artists and practitioners from different Asian and Pacific countries and territories. 

Accessible Cultural Travel

Cultural travel for overseas delegates to exchange and appreciate the heritage and tradition of Macau.
