Mainland students Adoption

Aim

　　The Caritas de Macau had started a local adoption program since 1997. From the successful achievement of this program, we have been inquired from many charitable persons on aiding other poor village children in mainland. For this, we have expanded our adoption plan towards mainland children starting in the An Hui Province.

　

　　Our Secretary General of Caritas de Macau Mr Pun Chi Ming would visit these subsidized children every year with other related staff members. The Caritas de Macau not only subsidize on children’s school fees but had assist in building up new schools as well.　

　　Through years of work, we have accomplished a mature and well planned mainland children adoption program. Now Caritas de Macau not only provide subsidies for mainland primary students but secondary and university students as well.　　

　　Subsidize fee for primary and secondary student is MOP$1000/year. The fee is for the education and book fee of the subsidized student. Subsidize fee for university student is MOP$1500/year. The fee is for the living of the subsidized student.　

　　Any person who is interested in helping the student of mainland can visit the head office of Caritas de Macau to get the application form. For the convenience of sponsor, Caritas de Macau receive visa/master card payment. Sponsor like to use visa or master card payment must submit a copy your visa/master card with the application or fax to the following number:2855 4049
 

Local Child Adoption Project

Purpose　

　　To encourage kindness people to adopt children of poor family.

 

 

【 Types of Adoption】

 There are two types of adoption：

  • 「General Adoption」 Adopter would not be assigned a child。
  • 「 Assigned Adoption」
  • 　Adopter will be assigned a child.
  • 　Adopter cannot request to change the assigned child. If the assigned child leave the adoption 　project, we will assigned a new child for adopter.。

【 Relationship】

  •  
    • 「General Adoption」Adopter make donation to Caritas de Macau and the donation will help 　poor family.
    • 「Assigned Adoption」Adopter make donation to Caritas de Macau and the donation will be 　sent to the family of assigned child.
    • 　Adoption project is a charity activity, there is not legal relationship between the adopter and 　the adopted child
    • 　Adopter and the adopted child cannot make request to each other.

【Right of Adopter】

  • After half year of adoption, adopter can send message to his/her adopted child in open letter.
  • After one year of adoption, adopter can have the photo of his/her adopted child.
  • We will not arrange meeting of adopter and adopted child along but we will arrange activities for the 　adoption project.

After complete the application process, adopter will receive a confirmation letter.

【 Adoption Fee】

  • The adoption fee for each child is MOP$2,400.00/year.
  • The adoption fee can be paid per year or per half year or per quarterly.

【Apply Method】

  • Individual or group who like to join the adoption project should fill the “Local Child Adoption Form” with adoption fee in cash or cheque (heading of the cheque is Caritas de Macau) or fill the deposit form for the Local Child Adoption Project by Luso International Banking Ltd.(Applicant can ask the staff of Luso Bank to give you the application form and fill in “local child adoption” on the “other” column) or use our Visa card payment service. If you select to pay the adoption fee by Visa card, please come to our account department on head office of Caritas de Macau ( Largo de Sto. Agostinho, 1-A) to fill the application form and copy the front side of your visa card or mail us the above documents.

【Terminate of Adoption】

  • If adopter like to terminate his/her adoption, please inform us one month before. The paid adoption will not be refunded.

  • If we did not receive the adoption in time, we will inform our adopter by mail. Any adopter did not pay the adoption fee for 3 months, we will terminate his/her adoption.
